A. Buy it from your local farmers’ market.
A. Buy it from a farmer at the farm or through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
A. Buy it at the grocery store. Look for locally grown or made salsas, tortillas, green chile, pinto beans, beef jerky, pecans, and more at your local grocery store. The following stores are community owned and sell a wide variety of local produce, meat and processed foods:
- La Montanita Co-op (with stores in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Gallup)
- Cid’s Food Market (623 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos 575-758-1148)
- Mountain View Coop (1300 El Paseo Rd Ste M, Las Cruces 505-523-0436)
- Silver City Food Co-op
- Dixon Cooperative Market
- Toucan Market
A. Eat it at a restaurant. Ask your favorite restaurateur if they buy any of their ingredients locally. If they don’t, suggest that they do (Farm to Table can help). (If you live in Santa Fe, try these restaurants.
